Better Dad Starts with Better Habits

Partnering with Andrew Jax & Building Healthier Habits for Fathers Eve. Every partnership teaches you something — and this new collaboration with Andrew Jax and the Six Pack Dad program has already given me more clarity than I expected. “Becoming a Better Dad Starts with Better Habits: My Takeaways from the Six Pack Dad Program” sums up exactly what this experience has opened my eyes to.

When I first agreed to join the program, my intention was simple:
Try it honestly. Learn from it. Share what actually works for real dads.

Several weeks in, here are the biggest takeaways that are already shaping how I think about health, fatherhood, and personal growth.

1. Your “Why” Is Stronger Than Willpower

One of the very first concepts in the program is identifying your core motivation.
Not the surface-level answer.
Not the “I should lose weight” guilt line we tell ourselves.

But the deeper reason — the one that pulls you forward on tough days.
Because better dad starts with better habits, and habits begin with knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing.

For me, that clarity shifted everything.
When you know why you want to feel healthier, choices become less about discipline and more about intention.

This has been the biggest mindset shift so far.

2. Small, Consistent Wins Beat Big, Unsustainable Efforts

The Six Pack Dad program doesn’t hit you with extreme diets or punishing workouts.
Instead, it focuses on simple, doable adjustments:

  • Slightly better food decisions
  • More awareness of portion sizes
  • A routine you can actually stick to
  • Mental habits that reinforce progress rather than sabotage it

As a busy dad myself, this approach feels realistic.
It fits real life — business trips, family schedules, and everything in between.

3. Accountability Makes the Journey Lighter

The weekly check-ins, progress submissions, and group calls are not about pressure — they’re about connection.

There’s something motivating about hearing from other dads doing the same work:

  • Guys trying to show up better at home
  • Men juggling work demands and personal goals
  • Fathers wanting to feel good in their bodies again

Those conversations remind you that you’re not doing this alone.
It’s community in action.

4. Structure Helps You Stay on Track

The app makes it incredibly easy to understand what to do each week.
The lessons build on each other, and the daily reporting keeps your head in the game.

It’s not complicated.
And honestly, that’s the point.

As dads, we don’t need more complexity in our lives — we need clarity.
This program delivers that.

5. Health Isn’t Just Physical — It Changes Confidence and Presence

Even in these early stages, I’ve noticed something important:
When you take steps to improve your health, you show up differently at home.

More energy.
More patience.
More confidence to lead your family with intention rather than exhaustion.

And that’s one of the reasons I think this partnership is a natural fit for FATHERS EVE.
Better dads make better families.
Better families make better communities.
And it all ties back to a simple truth: better dad starts with better habits.

The journey isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. Every small choice, every healthy habit, and every moment of presence at home adds up. The Six Pack Dad program has been a reminder that investing in yourself as a dad isn’t selfish—it’s essential.

As I continue this journey, my hope is that other fathers feel inspired to take their own steps toward better health, more energy, and stronger connections with their kids. Here’s to showing up, growing, and living our best lives as dads.
